MAVE Documentation
version 0.1
Its purpose is rapid development of efficient motion analysis applications. I am currently in the process of organizing and documenting the code that will constitute the initial part of the library.
The development website for this project is hosted on SourceForge at
http://sourceforge.net/projects/mave/. Check there for download information.
See further instructions on the Installation page.
These pages have been constructed using Doxygen, and contain all of the available documentation. As I am still constructing the library, its contents and documentation are not so stable.
The current goal is to bring a few of the aspects of the library to a stopping point so that a usable version of the library can be packaged for download. Some of these aspects relate to:
- a general gesture recognition algorithm
- a test-suite for recognition of 2D point gestures
- a test-suite for recognition of body gestures through motion capture data
- joint angle analysis for motion capture data
All of these are in various stages of development, and will be published as I bring the components to a presentable state.
MAVE is being developed by Stjepan Rajko, with the support of the Arts, Media, and Engineering program of Arizona State University. It uses several free/open source libraries such as openCV, and a lot of the code in MAVE is based on examples provided in these libraries.
MAVE is released under the GNU GPL.
